The Doc-Course "Partial Differential Equations: Analysis Numerics and Control", a post-graduate intensive school, is an activity of the Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Granada (IEMath-GR), the Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla (IMUS), the University of Málaga and the University of Cádiz.
This Doc-Course will be held in: Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Granada (IEMath-GR), Univ. de Granada (Calle Ventanilla 11, 18001 Granada) and Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla (IMUS) (Univ. de Sevilla, Campus de Reina Mercedes, 41012 Sevilla).
This ten-week course (from April 2nd to June 5th, 2018) aims at developing research skills and subject expertise. Its main objective is doing research work under the supervision and guidance of an assigned academic tutor. Eventually, the proposed research problems could become the starting point of research or a PhD thesis.
Additionally, the program consists of four specific courses and a workshop.
The courses will take place during the first four weeks of the program. Each course will be 12 hours long. The questions and problems for the guided research work of the students will be proposed within these lectures.
The workshop will consist of approximately 14 lectures with a common topic: Partial Differential Equations. The main objective of this workshop is to present the main research topics which are being developed in the four Universities participating in this Doc-Course.
At the end of the Doc-Course, all students with a favorable evaluation will receive a diploma including the equivalence of 400 hours of dedication as a training activity.
