Descripción
In this talk we will give a summary of how the algebraic tests sets associated to a linear integer problem have been applied to obtain efficient and competitive algorithms in Combinatorial Optimization, namely in the fields of Nonlinear Integer Programming and Multiobjective Linear Integer Programming. Some promising ideas and open problems to improve and continue this incursions of Algebra into Mathematical Programming will be presented.
