Aplicaciones Industriales del Álgebra Computacional AICA 2019 Santander

Industrial workshop organized by Red-EACA

This is going to be the fourth workshop, after those organized in Granada (2011), Madrid (2013), and Logroño (2016).
AICA is a short industrial workshop focused on transfering knowledge from mathematical areas related to the EACA network to the industrial world.
AICA 2019 will be held at the Sala de Grados in the Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Cantabria, in the afternoon of Friday February 8th 2019.
It will be a satellite event of the Congreso Bienal de la Real Sociedad Matemática Española

• 16-17 hs: Andratx Bellmunt Giralt: "Closing the gap. Search engines and Mathematics that bring humans and information closer"
  Abstract: Search engines are dramatically changing our every day life. Through them, mathematicians are playing an important role in shaping human behavior.


• 17.10 -18.10 hs: Jorge Caravantes: "Geometría en telecomunicaciones"
  Resumen: Trataremos las ideas geométricas tras distintos problemas relativos a telecomunicaciones. Principalmente, el uso de hidrografía pitagóricos en el diseño de cierto tipo de antenas, la localización por GPS y la estructura de superficies que controlen la distribución de señales. Terminaremos comentando el tratamiento de las matemáticas en la literatura especializada.
